Terri Shieh-Newton was Co-Chair of Morrison & Foerster’s Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Group when she was recruited to launch the California life science patent practice for Mintz Levin. With a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Medicine from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, her expertise encompasses antibodies, biologics and biosimilars, immuno-oncology (including chimeric T-antigen receptors), immunotherapy, gene editing (e.g., CRISPR technology), gene therapy, synthetic biology, microbiomes, enzymes, protein engineering, protein production and therapeutics, vaccines and adjuvants, diagnostics and biomarkers. Dr. Shieh-Newton has worked with a variety of organizations in the life science field, including Genentech, DuPont/Danisco/Genencor, Regeneron, Roche, the University of California, and Stanford University.
